Thank you for this fabulous and useful list! I'm sorry there's no Twilight Zone marathon, which I think might have started this trend back in the 80s. But you can't go wrong with Monty Python.

Fox Movie Channel has Planet of the Apes movies all day Friday, Nov. 28.
this is a great public service! thanks for taking the time to put this together :-) i too was hoping for a "twilight zone" marathon...
Hello all! Great list! There are a lot of marathons, but it is sad to see Sci Fi dump their "Twilight Zone Marathon". The concept of the TZ Marathon was first done in the 80's, as Laura said, in Boston (by WSBK, I believe), and was most successfully done by KTLA in Los Angeles, and then many stations who had TZ started doing it. Sci Fi took it over when they bought the series. I was head of Programming for KTLA and it was always a very popular and much anticipated event! It had the perfect combination of terrific episodes, half-hour length (which made it easy to pop in and enjoy an ep or two), and total pop culture exposure so that almost everybody had a favorite that they were excited to see again. Really, just the ideal marathon material.
Thanks again for this great list! I think these days many programmers just throw together a bunch of things thinking it makes a great marathon, but you have to have the right material and put it together with a little love, I think.
Happy Thanksgiving!
thanks for all of your efforts!
